Purpose

If you haven't found meaning, it's because you haven't picked up a burden large enough to carry it.

Meaning does not arrive through comfort or ease. It is generated through voluntary engagement with difficulty. The person who takes on a problem that matters, accepts responsibility for something larger than themselves, and endures the cost of that responsibility discovers that the weight produces the meaning. Searching for meaning without accepting burden is looking for the warmth of a fire you are unwilling to build. The question is not what is meaningful. It is what you are willing to carry.
